Jenn Barfield
Story
Hi Everyone,
I'm a Career Development Practitioner whose passion is supporting the veteran community with their career transitions and lifelong career development. I hope you are keeping well in these challenging times, and base the way I support people through Action Oriented Hope.
I'm a former military spouse and have worked with the British Army in the UK and Germany, including the Royal Engineers Association where we provided benevolent support to Sappers, and their families. This was the time that my passion for supporting the veteran community really grew from. Some were World War II vets, and others were present serving Members of the forces.
I've also previously worked in a contracting role with the ADF Transitions team, and continue to support the veteran community with their life long career development plans outside of the ADF. please feel free to reach out and say hi on LinkedIn where you can find me as "Jenn Barfield" or I also have a public Facebook "The Gnome Who Know" Career Coffee Chat Group
I'll post a pic over the next couple of days of the books I'm selecting to read, some will be for my studies/professional development, others are old favourites I'm returning to. I've recently received my copy of Captain Tom Moore's "Life's Lessons" - I'm really looking forward to diving into reading his gift of insights that he left the world. ??
? If anyone has any recommendations for my reading list, I'd love to hear them!!
I'm taking part in the #5in50Challenge as part of the Brothers N' Books Readathon!
Please support me and our veterans' families by donating to this page. Any amount that you may be able to contribute, I will greatly appreciate.
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" ~ Aesop ??
Happy reading everyone , Keep well and stay safe
